Factors that Influence Your Home’s Value

‘Location, location’ is the first factor that will influence your home’s value! It continues to have a high impact!

Is your home on a busy or quiet street! Can you walk to school or station or shopping? The size of your property is also an important factor!  The condition of the home both outside and inside will also affect value.

The mechanics, such as a replaced roof, furnace or central air conditioning system will have a positive impact on value.

A freshly painted home with both on the exterior and interior commands a higher price.

A new roof, gutters that are in good condition and well maintained walkways and driveways are important. Landscaping should also be addressed.

Newer Homes have the highest values in today's economy. If one's home is older, renovating rooms like the kitchen and baths are a necessity.

A family room off or adjacent to the kitchen adds value to a home.

A finished basement also adds value to a home.

The location of your home affects value. If your home is on a quiet street, the value will be higher.
